Adrian Zgoda Update Custom Object owner based on what is chosen in a lookup field on the opportunity
I am needing an employee to be able to update the "Dealer" lookup(account) field on an opportunity and have it automatically change the owner of the associated custom object "Application" to the same owner that is found on the Account entered in the Dealer field on the opportunity.
Is this doable with formulas at all? I am not familiar with APEX at all and am not very good with flows yet, so any assistance is much appreciated!

It is not possible with the Formula. You can use Process Builder for easily achieving this.
