Custom Settings Deployment Error

Hi,
I am getting below error while deploying a protected custom settings to enterprise org, which is on Spring'20 release.

Custom Object You can't set the visibility for a Custom Setting to Protected unless you are in a developer or scratch org.

Looks like below release update has impacted the deployment of custom settings,

Has anybody faced this issue and know how it can be handled? Thanks in advance.

Hi Amit,

Yes,as part of the Spring'20 release we can only create public custom settings.Also,it only allow us to create the protected Custom settings in Developer and Scratch orgs for managed packages.

That would leave an impact for existing deployments where protected custom settings were used to be deployed to 'Enterprise' org for testing/regression (for example- Large Data Volume testing), before actually being put into managed package. Scratch/Developer orgs normally dont have enough space to do LDV testing.
