Hi Nagendra, Thank you for your swift response. we figured out the issue. Its because, one field(with the same name) has been created with Portugal language(our clients language) and another one in English. So, While translating the page in English it showed the API name as common. When we changed to show original the API names are different.i.e., One API in Portugal and another API name is English.. :)

Sorry for this issue you are facing.
Usually, API names are very much unique and cannot be duplicated.
I guess there might be some space or something in the label at the time of creation which might be causing the issue.
May I suggest you please give a try by deleting the extra one and check if it still allows you to create a new one with the same name.
