Experience cloud and access to Private community "titles" for non-members

Hi All,

We have different Private Communites in our org.

Is there any way a user can SEARCH for the "Titles" of the Private communites even if they are not a member of those Private communities.

Idea is to get the "titles" and request for adding the user to the private community.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
James

HI James,

Can you confirm what "titles" refer to? Do you mean the names or labels of the private communities? Or are there specific titles or content within the communities that users are trying to search for?

In general, users who are not members of a private community will not be able to search for its titles using standard community search functionality. This is because private communities are intended to maintain privacy and restrict access to only invited or approved members.

Hi Swetha,

Thanks for your reply.

The 'Title' is also can be seen as 'Subject', 'Topic'.

Is there any custom development can be done in terms of search for Subject so the Private channel contents available for Non Members.

Thanks in advance,
James

Hi All,
My findings maybe helpful.
While searching in experience cloud, the search by will find the data in the Private Group for a non-member, but only the title and link to the group.

The user who is not a member of the group, can see the group members and there is a 'Request to Join' button where the non-member can request access to the private group.
