In Salesforce, if you want to create a custom field for an Address type in a Platform Event, you can do so by following these steps:
Access Setup:
Log in to your Salesforce account.
Click on the "App Launcher" (grid icon) and choose "Setup."
Create or Edit a Platform Event:
To create a new Platform Event, go to "Platform Events" in the Quick Find box and select it.
Click "New Platform Event" to create a new one.
To edit an existing Platform Event, find it in the list and click on it.
Add a Custom Field:
In the Platform Event definition, scroll down to the "Fields & Relationships" section.
Click "New" to create a new custom field.
Field Type:
Choose the appropriate data type for the Address type. You can select "Address" as the field type. If you don't see "Address" as an option, you might need to create a custom Address type.
Field Name:
Give your field a name, e.g., "EventAddress."
Field Properties:
Set any field properties, such as whether it's required or not, as per your requirements.
Save and Deploy:
Click "Save" to save the custom field.
If you're creating a new Platform Event, make sure to deploy it to make it available for use.
After following these steps, you'll have a custom field of the Address type in your Platform Event, allowing you to capture address-related information in your events. You can then use this custom field in your event process flows and integrations.
