What is Live Agent Supervisor?

Hi All,

currently i am setting up live agent in sanbox,i did not understand what is live agent supervisor? is it a user who is supervisor of that live agent?
Kindly let me know what is live agent supervisor,what he can do,what is the use of it,

ok got, i have small doubt

if i have live agent user "A" whose role is support team member and live agent user "B: whose role is Calling Team member

and their respective leads as follows user C whose role is support team Lead and user D whose role is Calling team lead.

Now when support team lead is logined and see Live agent supervisor then he can only able to see his sub ordinates(Not user A,B) i.e Live agent "A"
and Calling Team lead is logined and see Live agent supervisor then he can only able to see his sub ordinates(Not user A,B) i.e Live agent "B".

i hope my requirement understood.

Kindly let me know is it possible,if yes how to do it.
