How to create Macro instructions?

Hello,

I am trying to play with Macros in service console. I was able to update the settings and get the macro created but having difficulty with the instructions. I am unable to select a context (no drop down options available) to proceed further with the instructions. I must be missing something really silly. Does anyone know what is it?

Thank you!

Hello  If no drop down options is available then you need to check whether you have created feed based layout for the object and i hope you are aware of how to create feed based layout just go on create page layout and select the check box feed-Based layout optyion . After creating the feed base layout for all the required objects(case, account, leads or contact ) you can see the options active case tab, active account tab etc. Then after selecting active case tab proceed with selecting the publisher actions created for the selected object feed-based .

Hi,

Facing the same issue.
No drop down options available while creating new Macro Instructions. I just keep getting "Select" with no other option.

I have rights to create and edit macros and all my page layouts are feed based.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

You have to make sure a valid action is available and added to the publisher and than and only than you will have an option to select the active Account tab ,Contact tab or other  in  Macro Instructions.
