Shafi Role for Inactive users
In our salesforce instance the roles were cleaned up and as a result some of the inactive user's role were deleted, now those inactive users owned records are not pulled in reports as the owner of records do not have any role assigned. With that said, what is the best way to get those records in reports. Is assigning a general inactive user role to all inactive users a good idea?
If it's at all possible to slot them into your current role hierachy, I would suggest doing that. However, it may be the case that the reason they are inactive is due to a reoganization and what they did soesn't quite align with your current structure. In that instance, I have in the past done exactly what you are suggesting, which is create a general catch all role for users that are inactive. This is a better alternative to leaving them with no role.
