How to customize sidebar for a component.

Hey Friends,
I wanna display Account component in the sidebar Like User-added image Leads(686) shown in this picture i.e. Account (Number of records exist). All the records should be display clicking on the component. Even a little clue would be more helpful.

If that's a lightning component or VF page - you can just add that to the sidebar with a Visualforce Area.

Thanks for the reply, It's a home page Link component & I wanna display it on sidebar without using VF or Lightning.
