Let me know if you want me to post code. I can tell you we are using it with Visualforce Remoting.

If you could please include some code that reproduces this issue (would be nice if you could narrow it down to just code that exibits the issue).  And I don't know if this [1] has any bearing on your issue, but it might be worth looking at.
