Developer edition specifications?

I might be being a bit blind here but where is the product facility in the developer edition?

It appears on the schema, and presumably in the API but doesn't appear to be active in the developer version.

Could anyone shed any light?

Thanks

Peter

Hello Peter,

I think you are asking, how do I manage (create, edit etc) products from within salesforce.com developer edition.

To manage products, you will you the salesforce customization pages.  Click the "My Setup" link in the upper right corner of your browser.  On the setup home page, click the "Customize salesforce.com" link in the right hand column.  Under the "Customize your Tabs" section, click the opportunities tab.  On the page that is displayed, click on the "Pricebooks and Products" link.  This is where you can create pricebooks and products.

There is also a very comprehensive help system built into the salesforce.com developer edition.  The information in the help system should answer almost all the questions that you may have with regard to how salesforce.com works and how to manage your developer edition.

If I setup developer edition account (free) and use it to my benefit like a production app.

What is the future of the developer edition. I know it has many limits, but I am still OK with just 2 users and 20 MB of data. Can I use it as a production environment. Does it have similar availability as Enterprise or Unlimited edition?
