Limit on the number of contacts an account can have

Is there a limit on the number of contacts an account can have?

I dont think so. we have some accounts where the number of contacts is about 25

Well... I'm looking for more like 500,000...

We've got an org that has about 20,000 contacts attached.  I've never seen a reference to a limit on this.
