What are the benefits of UE over EE?

Hi,
 
We currently use Enterprise edition for salesforce. Can anyone please highlight what are the advantages for getting the Unlimited Edition now that APEX is included with the Enterprise Edition? One of the reason why we were planning to go for UE was for APEX code as earlier it was not available in EE.
 
Appreciate if anyone could highlight the advantages of UE over EE, espcially w.r.t development.

There are a number of advantages besides Apex code, including:

- Higher storage limits
- Premier Support + Administration (they can build reports, setup users, etc.)
- Unlimited Mobile Users
- 6 Sandboxes (1 full copy, 5 development - no data)
- Unlimited custom applications
- 2000 custom objects (versus 200 for EE)

We swtiched to UE as soon as it was available and are glad we made the switch -- we now have over a 1,000 users. Let me know if you have any additional questions I can answer.

Some other important items to consider with Unlimited Edition as a developer:

  • 1,000 time triggers an hour (vs 50 for EE) 
  • 5,000 API calls per license in a 24 hour period OR 5,000,000 API calls for the org in that same 24 hours (vs 1,000 / 1,000,000 for EE)
