How to make the standard field as read only ?

Hi,
 
Can anybody tell me that how to make the standard field in user object as readonly
 
Like , I want to make the title field in user object as read only.

Unfortunately the User object doesn't have editable page layouts, so there isn't anything you do in this area other than to continually monitor what users have put in the Title field and change it back.
