I am trying to complete the "Customize How Records Get Approved with Approvals" module. I keep recieving the error that the account Tye Set to "Pending" can't be found. I created it the same way I created the other two for this challenge "Customer" and "Prospect". Yet it does not say it has an issue with those two. I can not seem to solve this one.

i have recheked and checked my Account Type Picklist Values and also  Disactivate all of the other values except for PROSPECT & add Pending and Customer values.

but still this can't work i still got this message :We submitted an account for approval, but we can't find that account's Type set to 'Pending'.

You basically spam every question related to this topic with the same links. Dont you think if those worked we wouldnt be asking the same questions? THE APP NEEDS TO BE FIXED. STOP SPAMMING THE SAME USESLESS LINKS.

Exciting news (for us)! We've received approval to rebuild our Salesforce org. Before moving forward, we're conducting thorough research to identify best practices.

Our current org is highly customized, and our goal is to leverage standard objects as much as possible, building on top of them where necessary. One key area we’d like to streamline is how our Sales team books opportunities and line items (we're currently exploring the opportunity products, orders, and price books). At present, we rely on multiple custom objects, but we’re exploring how others utilize Salesforce’s built-in functionality—its benefits and limitations.

We’d love to hear your advice, insights and experiences. Any information/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Congrats on getting the green light!

Salesforce’s standard capabilities - like products, price books, and related features - can really simplify things. One of the biggest benefits is how these work seamlessly with reporting, forecasting, and automation out of the box. It reduces the need for workarounds and helps you align more easily with Salesforce updates down the line.

A key consideration is how your current process maps to Salesforce’s standard model. In some cases, rethinking the workflow to fit the platform (instead of replicating existing custom setups) can actually improve clarity and performance for users.

It’s definitely worth investing time in discovery and process mapping before building - getting it right now will save so much rework later. Good luck with the exciting work!

Does anyone know if it’s possible to calculate the Agent’s Average Response Time, Customer’s Average Response Time, Total Handling Time, and Abandonment Time for the new chatbot in a report?

Previously, we used Chat Transcripts, which already had these fields available, making it easy to include them in reports.

Now, with the Messaging Sessions object, these fields are not available by default. Even after creating a Messaging Sessions with Messaging Session Metrics report type, I still can’t retrieve this information directly.

I found this documentation:

 ðŸ”—

Messaging Session Metrics – Salesforce

It mentions that the MessagingSessionMetricType field provides these metrics, but when I add this field to the report, it only displays the metric type, not the actual value.

How to calculate average response times and total handling time in Messaging Sessions?

Is there any way to extract these values? Maybe using a formula or another approach?

I was having trouble restricting report and dashboard visibility to specific Users.  I confirmed that the Profiles I did not want access to certain report and dashboard folders did not have permission to "Manage Private Reports and Dashboards", and I created new report and dashboard folders and then shared those folders with specific Users.  But all Users could still see the reports and dashboards in those folders.  I finally removed the Profile permissions to "View Dashboards in Public Folders" and then the Users were not able to see the dashboards that I was trying to restrict.  Then I updated the Sharing of all the Dashboard folders that they were supposed to see and gave them View access.

Is this how dashboard and report sharing is supposed to work?  I need to remove all permission to View and then grant it back at the folder level on all folders?  Or did I do something wrong when I was creating new folders and somehow they were created as Public folders?

Removing that permission is the correct fix.  The permission considers anything not saved in a private (personal) folder as public.  So 'View Dashboards in Public Folders' Grants access to any dashboard an idividual hasn't created just for themselves

I am trying to build a record-triggered approval orchestration with a screen flow that asks for the user to enter 3 approvers who will each need to provide approval before a claim can be processed. I have run into some issues trying to come up with a solution where the user making the approver selection process via the screen flow does not need to provide approval since this is not an approval step, but this screen flow will be passing in the user names that would notify the selected approvers. Thus far, I have tried:

-Excluding the approver selection screen flow from the orchestration. However, since the selection screen flow isn't part of the orchestration, I am unable to use a variable to capture the approver's info as an input for the approval process.

-Including the approver selection screen flow would allow me to pass the user variable as an input for the approval flow, but the user variable is null since I am unable to get around completing the stage where the approver selection screen flow takes place without approving the AWI that is tied to the stage. I tried to use the case status as a mechanism to signal the stage completing requirement without providing explicit approval but this does not seem to work.

Is an approval necessary for each AWI to complete a stage or step within an approval orchestration?

Thank you

That's awesome! I'm glad for the breakthrough. Please reach out if you end up needing additional assistance. If you are not already, I expect you will need to create either individual text variables storing the Users' Usernames or record variables for each User as Available for Output.

For the "Verify Step" for the "Become an Agentblazer Champion">"Connect Data Cloud to Agentforce and Prompt Builder">"Enhance Agentforce to Act on Data with Conversational Language", I had to reset the password to enable the "Verify step to earn 100 points" button, but probably this was a wrong thing to do.  I think the site is trying to verify my work based on a different UI upon clicking the "Launch" button. I get an error message that says "Step not yet complete in Data Cloud and Einstein AI. We check your work in the active version of the flow. In the 'Create Check-in Guest Event' flow, we found your most recent changes in a version that is not active. Activate the version you want us to check, then click Check Challenge again." But the version is active on the UI that I worked on. How can I get the system to verify my work on the right UI?
