LDAP Directory integration for Salesforce.com

I need to implement Salesforce.com in a company that has LDAP Directory Services as a corporate standard.  I can Imagine that this is a very usual requirement in corporations. Have anyone done this integration before ?  Does anyone knows if Salesforce.com has special librarys or modules to do this ?

To Salesforce Staff : any plans to offer this feature in the future ?

I'm not aware of anyone who has done this, but am certainly happy to assist your efforts. Note we are working on our identity management features, and will have more to offer here in the future.

I'm also interested in understanding how others have integrated SFDC with their LDAP infrastructures.

How have others syncronized there SFDC account/pw with their internal LDAP systems?
