How to send mail notification when a solution is created?

Hi There,

I have been asked whether is there any way to send a mail notification when a Solution is created with the solution details in the mail.

If you know how to accomplish this please let me know with the steps to be performed,

Hi,

You can achieve this functionality with the Salesforce Work flow.

Create a work flow for the Solution object object.

As an immediate action set a Email Alert with a email template such that contains Solutions details.

Thank you for your fast response, but i'm still in the begining stage on how to use salesforce.com, if yuu can help me in how to create the work flow, i was looking at the SETU_ -> CUSTOMIZE and was not able to find any work flow over there.

Look under Setup->Create->Workflows and Approvals->Workflow Rules.  This is only available in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions.
