LastModifiedById and CreatedById fields BLANK?

I've found an OpportunityContactRole record with a blank LastModifiedById and CreatedById . These fields are marked as non-nillable in the result from describeSObject.

I would have thought that a non-nillable reference field would not be able to hold a blank value. Did I misunderstand?

Hi John,

I suspect that these are created when the account is created and therefore have no real id associated with those two fields.

I have asked a developer to look into it though.

Hi John,

Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for jogging me.

In fact, some items that are part of the initial template do have blank ids.  I believe we are going to modify this behavior in a future release.

Can you get us a list of the items which will initially be blank?

Also, if the behavior is changed in a future release, please be sure to tell us about it ahead of time!
