Cold Fusion and Sales Force

Hello-

I am a partner in a company that uses Cold Fusion and I am trying to figure out a way to make these two products work together on our server. Are there versions that I am not aware of- or is sforce extensions that allow two different areas to collaborate (not just Cold Fusion)?

Is there a way with our CF code to make all of our data interact?

I am completly clueless and if anyone would be so kind as to give a laymans lesson quickly of how these two can work (or SF ad other apps just for my getting a handle on things)- i woudl be greatful. trying to tie two different specialists together and I am not one of them.

Thanks so much.

nact -

Im not sure I totally understand your question, but I'll give it a go.  I think you hit the nail on the head when you said "or is sforce extensions that allow two different areas to collaborate".  In a nutshell, Sforce keeps a set of your data on their servers, and you can choose to replicate all/some of that data on your server(s).  There are also methods that allow your application to update the data held on the Sforce servers, and visa - versa.

Hope that helps,

Velvett

Hey -

Thanks so much. I huess what I woudl need next then is to find where the methods are or which ones to use that allow the CF data that we have on our server for our clients to "talk" with our SF data on the SF servers.

We have a Control Panel for all of our clients to use and update their sites, email etc. Since we use SF for our inetrnal stuff (new) - it woudl be great if they could log in to one place only and see the trouble tickets, requests, etc.

Thanks so much for your help.
