Servers unavailble ..

If anyone has any news about system availability this morning, I'd be grateful for an update.

Come on guys, someone respond to this with an "official" reason. I was onsite at a client trying to demonstrate SFDC for almost 30 minutes trying different log-ins, different browsers, different ISP's. Nothing was working.

Needless to say, this was very disconcerting for my prospective client. If I could give him an official reason, it would help to reassure him (and me).

I think that the official response (I've received almost identical wording from two people) is:

Our system was unavailable this morning due to a networking hardware failure. The problem has been addressed and our team is now conducting a deeper analysis. The system is performing normally now across all geographies.

We appologize for the inconvenience that the outage has caused.
