Can we limit the Search items in the portal?

Hi All,
 
Under Search, How can we limit the Search items to only the items they can see in the portal - e.g; Leads, Contacts and Accounts only?

Just allow them to see only those tabs.

Hi,

The method suggested by you worked. Thanks for the solution. But even after making Tab Hidden for opportunites it is still visible in the search items. Apart from this Three more Object are visible, they are Campaigns, Notes and Tasks. How can we remove these from Search Items.

You can also change the CRUD in the portal users' profiles so that they don't have read access to those types of objects (except for Notes and Tasks, which I wouldn't recommend doing anyway).
