Is there a way to optionally display a section in a page layout? I have a number of sections that contain fields that are linked to a particular record type. I would like to display only those sections that are relevant. This is the Case object.
Is this possible?
werewolfYes, you can define layouts and assign them to each record type using the Page Layout Assignment button on the Page Layout setup page. This is very common with Case, where, for instance, the Billing record type shows only billing-related fields whereas the Tech Support record type shows a bunch of technical fields.
