Private Custom Objects (security)

With the Winter 07 release, we are taking advantage of making some of our custom objects private.  I am trying to track down the object that manages the security for these custom objects.  This would be the equivalent to AccountShare, OpportunityShare, CaseShare, etc.  Is there an sObjectShare?  We need to identify this for some of our custom applications.

Its {objectName}__share, so if your custom object is called Interview__c, the sharing table is Interview__share

I was hoping that was the answer, BUT I don't see that object listed in my sForce explorer.  Any idea why that would be?

Do you have sForce explorer configured to use the 8.0 (or higher) API ?

No I don't.  I guess I need to figure out how to do that...
