Email Alert does not show the email templates
Hi
I have created few email templates. I am trying to set up an work flow so that when the status is changed an email is sent to that contact. I am facing few problems in this
- When creating email alerts the templates that I have created is not visible
- I am updating staus on custom object that is related to the contact object . I would like to send the email to the related contact. Is this possible with the workflow feature?
- Is there any other way this can be accomplished?

1. Is the email template active? Make sure Available for Use is checked.
2. Yes - take a look at the doc - under Step 3e, use Related Contact.
3. You could use a trigger and sendEmail, but workflow is easier.
