delete custom link

how do i delete a custom link?

Remove it from all page layouts, then delete it from Setup -> [App Setup] Customize -> Object -> Buttons and Links.

It took me awhile to figure out that I had to:
  • go to the layout page for each page affected
  • click on edit
  • then, in the dialog box on the left/center select Custom Links
  • then drag the link I wanted to remove - out of the page layout and back to the dialog box

Once I found that out, it makes sense.

Hi JerryJoseph,

You can delete the custom link section from the contacts page layout, just change the section title which you want to Edit when you edit the Page Layout. 
Just Edit the contact object page layout, Open the Custom link section and then click the tool Icon which will bring you a Screen where you can change the related links.
