Attachments& Notes on Objects

Is there a way of adding 'Attachments&Notes' to an Object if you did not add this option at the time of creating the Object.

I don't want to re create the object.

It is very simple.

        -    Edit the page layout of the object.

        -    Click the related list button shown on the top.

        -    Drag and drop Notes & Attachments on the pagelayout

        -    Save the pagelayout.
