Fax to case

Hi All,

I am working on a requirement where i need to automate faxes received to cases in sfdc. Can some one give us links or docs that will help us to proceed on this requirement.

Well, the Force.com platform does not understand any concept of a "fax".  I assume you need an OCR solution to "read" the fax.  Once you have a text version of the fax, then it is a matter of creating the case using the api and relating it to the appropriate object.

Sorry I can't provide more details.  Maybe you can let us know where you can't envision the solution.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Can you please provide some pointers on what is OCR..how to convert fax to text and using api to create in Sfdc. Any links or pointers on this will be really useful for us to do analysis on this requirement.

Uh, well, OCR is optical character recognition, the way to convert a fax to text.  You'll have to investigate elsewhere for the details.
