Tier Pricing in Price Book

Can anyone please share with me your experience with multiple tier pricing in price book?  How do I built that and what is the business practice to build a tier pricing in a price book?

Thank you.  We started with the Price Books with Tiers but I am having the same problem of the fifth posting.
