Hello,
If we are using the products tab can we query the same data from the product.id table rather than the product2.id table? I ask since it is easier to query the product.id without using nested joins.

Product is deprecated so use product2

That means that for your query you should use product2 because sooner or later product will not be there anymore. Salesforce.com is using Product2 for its product
