confused about UseStandardPrice in PricebookEntry

in my PricebookEntry

some products have 2 lines (same name) and the only difference is
that one line has UseStandardPrice to True the other line has it set to False

my question is that if I were to add an OpportunityLineItem to an Opportunity,
which one should I use...under which condition?

I read about the field in the api...but still alittle confused...

any help appreciated

nevermind, I realized that they are in different PriceBooks

and I am suppose to use only one of the PriceBook

it will still be kind of nice if someone can help me understand the usages of the UseStandardPrice field though =P
