Open Activities of custom child (lookup) not showing up in Account

Hi,

 

The open Activities of the contact records related to an Account object are shown in open Activities on that Account record. But, the open Activities of a custom child  (having lookup to Account) object's are not shown on related Account record. Any idea, why is it so?

Well ... that's an out of box feature. 

Is the relationship between your custom object and Account, lookup or master-detail?

It's a Look-up relationship.

Well ... for Contacts/Accounts its an out of box feature.

But you won't get it in custom relationships!
