Connector help please

Can the Excel Connector be used to upload data to the production version of Salesforce.com as well as sforce.com?

I need to create a bunch of products in production and would love to be able to upload them through the connector.

Yes it can, to do this you use your normal production login.

the easiest way to see the relations ( esp Product2 and Pricebook2 )

is to create one or two products in the app, then with the conenctor query all the tables that you need to see these records, then you can construct new entries in excel in that format and then upload.

i think you need OpportuntyLineItem, Product2, Pricebook2, PricebookEntry at least
