Generate & Download PDF

Hello everyone!!

 

Is there anyway to generate a PDF and Download it automatically? preferibly don't attaching it to any object...

Have you checked out Visualforce2PDF?

I believe that you can view pdf files using the Salesforce CRM Content

without downloading them. Its a separate add-on for the portal that you need to request from them.
