Lookup Based on Account

Hi,

 

In Case, we are having the Account Lookup field. In the same way I have created a contract lookup field. Now I want the related contracts only to be displayed in the lookup for that specific Account.

 

Is there any way to achieve this? If so then give me some example.

I think you might want to take a look at the new Lookup Filters functionality (currently still beta) - that should do what you have described.

Hi,

 

But the Lookup Filter criteria is not coming for the contracts. I am unable to see that if I create a lookup for contract.

Try doing it by using related lookup filters :

 

Primary Contact: Account Name IDequalsAccount: Account ID

 

This works for contact and Account standard object. In my opinion, contract standard object does not provide lookup filters.

Can you suggest me how to do the same based on Contracts. That is, If I select some contracts then the Accounts lookup needs to populate based on that.
