Database.com login

Is there any way to use my developer account for SFDC on Database.com?

Nope, you have to sign up for a new database.com account at http://www.database.com/ to access.

What about with editions besides the Developer?  We are beginning to plan out our first Force.com implementation and this seems like major hurdle to need unique usernames for each platform product (Force.com, Database.com, and, I assume, the others).
