Populate opportunity Name with product Name

what i want to do is create a button on contacts page, on clicking this button a new opportunity page is to be opened with its Name to be populated with the product Name. my salesforce bros help me

Create a custom button on Contact detail page and in 'Button or Link URL' give '/006/e' to open the New Opportunity page. But as I think it’s not possible to populate the field value on Opportunity new window because these are the standard pages so communication it not possible.

i created a url link and via the url i passed the opportunity name, but what if i want the opportunity name to show the product names as  a drop down , i know opportunity is a required  and standard field  but still is there way around for this.Thanks for your help pradeep.
