Create a button to auto send an email from template

Hello all,

 

I have been tasked this week to create a custom object that has a button that will automatically send an email from a template I have created when clicked. I am not a developer and have little experience at writing anything myself.

 

I spent a few hours last week trying to research all of the examples and suggestions people have given but nothing so far has worked. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Check out the Force.com Cookbook, it has a couple email examples. This example in particular highlights automatically sending an email template, you can modify to work with a button.
