Only Allow Certain Users to Change Lead Owners in PE

Hello,

 

Was wondering if anyone had any code or ideas on how to only allow certain users the ability to change lead owners in Professional edition?

 

Right now the only option is to disallow all users transfer and only the admin account can override. Don't really want regular users with admin access.

The selected users need modify all permission on the lead object. The others, you will need to tighten the security on.

Thanks for your reply. Not sure I understand where these functions are.

 

Could you be a little more specific as to where to update this?

 

For example, we go to"Security Controls" >> "Sharing Settings" >> Lead

 

Lead   ---  Public Read/Write/Transfer

 

There seem to only be global setting for all users and we cannot find the ability to change the permisisions for different hierarchies...etc.

 

However this seems to apply to all users at once.

You can set this permission on the security profie page

 

Setup>>Manage users>>Profiles....

 

Select the profiel you need to change...find the lead object configuration section....toggle modify all.

That would work with Users that have Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.

 

What would be a solution for users with Professional edition?
