Transfer data from production environment to Sandbox

Hi,

I just want to verify the data transfer using the Eclipse tool. Is it true that Eclipse tool can only transfer metadata from one environment to another but not the data itself, correct? Please advice.

Yes you can do only the metadata but not the data.

 

If you want to get the data, then you can try for full sandbox by navigating to setup->data management->sandbox
