how to view records in salesforce?

How can i view records in my salesforce account? i have inserted some records using apex data loader. and i can't view it. is there a way i can view it without installing applicaition on my account?

You would goto the tab of the relevant object type, select a list view that shows the data, then click through to individual records.

what if there is no tab for that object?
