Duncan_Idaho I'd like to poll my users on login. A chatter integrated would be awesome. Anyone else been down this path before?
So far, the best thing I've been able to come up with is a sidebar component that flashes when you have a poll to take.
Yes, that sidebar component or home page component is probably the best you can do. You can make it pop a new window though. You can't really change the Chatter interface itself right now so you won't be able to do it with that (unless you rewrite a whole replacement Chatter interface yourself, I guess).
