I guess the interesting problem here is how do you know which child object you want to display? An relationship in Salesforce is one to many (from parent to child) so if you are in the parent you could have many children to choose from.
Can you template from the child object and reference into the parent object? Or, can you determine which child you are looking for a use a formula field on the parent to populate?
