View Janpanese characters on IDE

I am trying to edit some Japanese translation using eclipse. However Japanese characters does not appear right. What do I need to do if I want to view them correctly. same problem with Chinese characters. Russian, French etc. seems to be fine.

What version of Windows are you using?  Do you have the East Asian Language Pack installed?  It's an extra option that normally is not included.

 

Also, what versions of Eclipse and the Force.com IDE are you using?

Yes ! That was the problem.

Installed East Asian Langugage pack and it worked like charm.

By the way I am using eclipse Version: 3.4.0 uild id: I20080617-2000 and IE version 16.
