Recent items not appearing in customer portal

Hai ,

   Recent item records are not appearing for asset records in customer portal.How to make recent items work sucessfully.I am using standard sidebar component


Please make sure in your assigned page layout for portal profile?


In your layout make sure Recent Items checkbox in checked and In sharing setting for Asset Private or Public Read/Write.. If it is private means did you created record from the particular portal which does not show a recent item..


If private means it will shows only that you have created records..

       I was able to see recent items box and when I open records,that record should be displayed in recent items but i was unable to get that

        I was displaying list of asset records through visualforce page in customer portal.when i click i can view asset that i can view records.But i was unable to get this recent records in recent items.
