What is Salesforce Integration

Hi All,

   

      Can anybody explain what is Integration in salesforce? and how to integrate external apps with Salesforce? What are all the Basic steps required to integration?

Integrating some third party application with salesforce..

 

For example, consider google analytics...

 

Suppose if you want to get your google anayltical data in your salesforce account you need to integrate google with salesforce..

 

 

While integrating , authentication and authorization is basic step(i.e: Handshake)..
