Relabel Opportunity Contact Role

Is it possible to relabel "Contact Role" within the Opportunity object?  I tried to do this through Setup->Customize->Tab Names and Labels->Rename Tabs and Labels->Opportunities.   I updated the Opportunity Contact Role entry to the custom name and it didn't have any effect on the UI.

 

Any suggestions?

Hi,

 

We can relabel the Contact Role but this will effect all the objects.

Please follow the below steps to do this:

 

Setup->Customize->Tab Names and Labels->Rename Tabs and Labels->click on Edit link next to the Contact-->

goto the Contact Role filed and Enter the Custom Name and click the Save  button.

"Opportunity Contact Role" is automatically associated with whatever "Opportunity" is named. You can directly edit the name "Opportunity Contact Role". For example, if you changed the name of the "Opportunity" object to "Donation" then "Opportunity Contact Role" automatically gets renamed "Donation Contact Role"
