Is there any way to add Visualforce page template in header and footer of Customer Portal

Hi,

I am trying to create customer portal but I get stuck on customizing some of features in customer portal. I selected Customer Portal and created a new portal having name as "My Customer Portal" after that I explore the option and found some options to add Header and Footer there we can only add HTML component. So, Is there any possibility add any visuaforce component in Header or Footer of customer portal? If not so is there any alternative to do the same?

Please anyone can help me out of that.

You can create a Home Page Component of Type HTML AREA, Image and links and bind with Home Page Layout for a specific customer portal user of specific Profile. You can change the color and themes of customer portal on the click of Change Portal fonts and color button.
