Error: {0} - On formula field...

Hi, I have a formula field on a custom object that goes to a field 2 levels up, to the the parent objects parent. When I try to save or do check syntax I get the error "Error: {0}"

 

Any ideas? The field works, but I am just trying to change it to lookup to a different field. Tried to create a new formula field and get the same error.

can post your formula please? It will be easier to work out the cuase of the error.

Therapy_Number__r.Contact__r.Physician_Name__c

 

This is a field on a custom object Adverse Event, which is a child through Master Detail of Therapy History, which is a child through Master Detail of the standard object Contact. Physician Name is a text field on Contact. I get the error when I try to point the formula to any field on Contact.

your formula is correct. I also replicated it without any erros in my org.

I even tried changing it to lookup to a different field without iny erros.

 

check the data type of all fields involved, the field length, any spaces in field names..
