Eclipse IDE

Hello All,

Hoping somone can help.

I am using the Eclipse IDE tool to Move Custom Reports from Certain Folders in Salesforce to a Archived Folder, i have moved the files into the correct Report Folder in the Eclipse IDE Tool but when saving it to the server it says that File Only Saved Locally, not to server.

Can someone help ?

Thanks

Jim

Hi,

The message means that the change is not propaget to the server or the org.

So you need to delpoy the changeover to the org.

Hope this helps...

Hi Ispita,

Does this mean i would need to Deploy to Server instead of Save to Server ?

Apologies this is the first time ihave used the Eclipse IDE tool ?

Jim

No no its ok.

No "save to server " is the ideal option but the fact that its getting locally saved , you can try to deploy it, so see if that ways it gets deployed.

Hello Developer!

To Move custom Report from one edition to another edition u should follow " Deploy to Server" not the "Save to Server".

Ashish Salesforce.

Hi Adroitus,

These reports are all in one edition, they are just saved in different Report Folders, do i still need to use the Deploy to Server ? i Used the Save to Server when testing in one of my Sandboxes an i worked ok with the Save to Server.

Your Help is apprecaited.

Thanks

Jim

How many reports are there?

If they not plenty you can do a "Saveas" in case you just want to move reports..

Jim_kellyJim_kelly

when i did the change in Sandbox there was Approx. 10 reports, im currently making the same change in Production and there is 400+ reports ?

Thanks

Jim
