Hide records on search depending on Picklist values

Hi,

 

I have a picklist called 'Account Type' which has 3 values :

 

1) Group

2) Account

3) Account Location

 

I dont want to have search functionality for records who may have Account Type value as Group or Account.  Those records should be hidden from the users.

 

Is there a way to do this?

Are you talking about the native search on the sidebar of the org, or this search is something custome you made?

Yes, I am talking about search facility available in Sidebar of Salesforce application page.

Using the Application --> Search and Tags --> Filtering Search Results

This explain how to filter search results, check it and let me know if this works for you.
